Jose Mourinho—Truly the Special One

At every club he has managed, Mourinho has been able to rewrite the history books. He has bagged major honours at Porto, Chelsea and Inter Milan.

million pounds a year. When he reached West London, he wanted to end the duopoly of Manchester United and Arsenal, who had shared the titles for the last ten years. When Mourinho took the charge, Chelsea hadn’t won the league for 50 years. Abramovich supported
him by getting the players he wanted. The owner spared no expense during his acquisitions and had to pay double or triple the market value of some players.

The same year, he won the Premier League for Chelsea and broke their 50 year drought. That year, Chelsea lost to Liverpool in the Champions league semi-final

during his short stint at the club. He had a falling out with the Blues owner and ended the contract with mutual consent.
