Jose Mourinho—Truly the Special One
Jose Mourinho is widely known as ‘The special one”, a name that he announced for himself when arriving to England for the http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Chelsea-c38786 job. Mourinho has always been criticized for his arrogant nature but most fans appreciate his character and winning record.

beating Celtic in the final. Eyebrows were raised as The Special One made his presence felt in the football arena.
The Portuguese was not content with his success. Porto again won the league the following year but lost in the final against rivals Benfica in the Portuguese Cup. He also managed to win the UEFA Champions league, which is considered the most prestigious
event in Europe football, by defeating AS Monaco 3-0 in the final.
Following this success, Chelsea’s billionaire owner, Roman Abramovich, approached Mourinho to replicate his Porto success in England. The Portuguese accepted the challenge which made him the best paid manager in the business, earning him approximately five
million pounds a year. When he reached West London, he wanted to end the duopoly of Manchester United and Arsenal, who had shared the titles for the last ten years. When Mourinho took the charge, Chelsea hadn’t won the league for 50 years. Abramovich supported
him by getting the players he wanted. The owner spared no expense during his acquisitions and had to pay double or triple the market value of some players.
In his first managerial year for Chelsea, he won the league cup in 2005, beating http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 in the final. The same year, he won the Premier League for Chelsea and broke their 50 year drought. That year, Chelsea lost to Liverpool in the Champions league semi-final
after knocking out Spanish giants Barcelona in the last eight.
The following year, Chelsea won the league again as The Special One maintained his dominance on the English football. In his final year at Chelsea, he finished runners up to Manchester United but managed to win the FA cup. He won six major trophies for Chelsea

that Mourinho faces at Madrid is that he requires complete control of the club, from the transfers to the reserves. At Real Madrid, things work differently. They have a Sporting Director who makes all the decisions to answer to the cruel Spanish media.
Things have not exactly gotten off to a bad start. Real are second in the league to Barcelona by four points and have advanced easily to the second round of the Champions League and are in the final of the Copa Del Rey.
Whatever happens at the end of the season, Mourinho has set his sights on a return to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 and Manchester United is his target this time as he waits for Sir Alex Ferguson to sign off on his United career.
