Real Madrid is going well on top of the La Liga table. Their arch-rivals Barcelona are one point behind in second place. The current team is probably their strongest squad in the last five years, and all the players are enjoying the best form of their lives.
Apparently, there are no shortcomings of the current Madrid’s squad, which means that they do not need to worry about the transfer window in January.
The season has gone for Jose Mourinho in terms of his signings. After taking the charge at Real Madrid, Mourinho made some important signings in his squad. The four main players signed by Mourinho were Angel Di Maria, Sami Kheidra, Mesut Ozil and Ricardo
Carvalho. The first three players have been involved in the midfield and played incredibly well for the team. Ricardo Carvalho was signed to strengthen the defence and the former Chelsea defender has been instrumental in this regard, while he is occasionally
finding the net as well.
Despite all the things happening right for Mourinho, the manager was worried about his midfield options. However, now he believes that the return of Kaka into the squad would be similar to signing a great player. Kaka, who has missed this season after undergoing
a knee surgery, is expected to return within a month. Previously, it was thought that Kaka might be on his way back to Serie A, either with Inter Milan or his previous club AC Milan.
Kaka has not proven himself worthwhile for Real Madrid, as he generally failed to make an impact in his first season for the club. Many believe that Kaka has lost his form that helped AC Milan in lifting their seventh Champions League title. It was apparent
when Kaka played for Real Madrid, as he scored only eight goals for his team in the league. But, Mourinho still sees something good in his player and he has high expectations for him.
Mourinho brushed aside the speculations regarding Kaka’s departure and regarded him as a boost for his team in January. According to Mourinho, there would not be many big players in the market, in January, and Kaka would probably be the biggest of all those
names. So, he would stay at the club and work under Mourinho for at least the second half of this season.
Another speculation circulating the media circles was regarding the transfer of Karim Benzema. However, Mourinho has plans for Benzema as well and he is insisting on retaining the striker. Mourinho said that Benzema is improving a lot and is working hard
in the training sessions. The manager said that the French striker needs to learn the value to team game, which is something lacking in Benzema.
Now, Mourinho has clarified that he does not need to buy in the transfer window. It is very rare in Madrid’s circles to let a player continue after a poor season, especially in recent years. Therefore, it was expected that Kaka would be another Madrid casualty,
until Mourinho decided that he still has plans for Kaka. Mourinho, as most football fans already know, is a person who loves challenges and Kaka is nothing more than another challenge for the Portuguese mastermind. Although, a lot of hard work and extra attention
would be required in order to revive Kaka’s brilliant form, but it is very much possible as long as Mourinho is in charge of Madrid’s affairs.
Similarly, Karim Benzema continued to play for Madrid because Mourinho realised the good in him and he decided to polish the striker. Now, Benzema is being more useful to his club than the previous season.
In a nut shell, Mourinho has a realisation that he has enough quality in his squad and he should not look elsewhere for reinforcements. If he is able to make Kaka and Benzema play well for Madrid, he would definitely be winning some trophies by the end of
this season.
