Jose Sulaiman grasps becomes global ambassador for Non-Violence – Boxing News
Jose Sulaiman, the proud World Boxing Council president and the man behind the revolutionised current form of boxing, recently got another accolade in his closet. According to a recent tiding, Jose has been officially appointed by Non Violence Foundation
(NVF) as the ‘Non-Violence Global Ambassador’.
According to the details, Non Violence foundation, the apex organisation all around the world striving hard for the eradication of violence based ideas, concept, methodologies and other such facets that affect and disrupt normal human behaviour and eventually
disturb the whole society, decided to confer the award to one of the most influential individuals in the sport of Boxing so as to spread its word more emphatically.
The gracious response by Jose has also proven that the World Boxing Council is also interested in spreading the idea and the concept that was initiated in 1933 and was brought to a new level altogether by John Lennon, one of the pioneers in spreading peace.
The foundation follows the agenda of providing healthy and non-violent education to the young so as to eradicate the concept of violence from the immature minds of the growing children hence nipping the evil in the bud.
The organisation has spread worldwide and has convinced and altered thoughts of many men and women by introducing initiatives and programs meant to benefit fellow human beings.
NVF is represented by the logo of a ‘knotted gun’, a symbol that was created by Carl Fredrik Reutersward while giving tribute to one of its most influential and dedicated members John Lennon on his sad demise in 1980.
The project ‘One Billion’ was the brainchild of Lennon and interestingly he became its first member. The project was meant to convince the people to stop violence and join hands to help each other and resolve issues calmly by talks rather than using violence
tactics. John wanted to bring one billion people on the same roster of ‘say yes to Peace and no to violence’.
Jose, who has spent an illustrious life not as a pugilist but as one of the most iconic men in the management, undoubtedly brought WBC stand toe-to-toe with World Boxing Association. It was Sulaiman who came up with unique ideas of giving benefits to the
injured pugilist a result, he in the individual and his organisation in the collective capacity started funding University of California, Los Angeles.
The funding was meant specifically to take care of the belligerents who received substantial life threatening head injuries. In addition, he genuinely is a guy who will fortify NVF’s agenda since he is an International Boxing Hall of Famer (IBHoF), and is
famous for his innovative ideas for the betterment of the pugilists.
Jose’s organisation which was once nowhere to be found now has 161 countries as its member. Becoming a global ambassador of non-violence will definitely help NVF spread its word all around the world at least in Jose’s 161 affiliates.
