After failing to make the jump up to Real Madrid first team, Los Blancos youth academy graduate signed a four year deal with Hoffenheim.
Real Madrid youth academy graduate, Joselu, decided to end his wait for firs team appearances and made his way to Bavaria for increased minutes on the pitch. The 22-year-old centre forward impressed with Castilla and links up with 1899 Hoffenheim to pursue
his footballing development.
The German club announced on their website that they have acquired the young Spanish star from Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee. The monies involved are expected to be in the region of 6-10 million Euros as Los Blancos had earlier rejected offers worth
5 million Euros.
Hoffenheim have announced on their official website that they have completed the transfer of Joselu from Real Madrid for an undisclosed fee. The striker has signed a contract until the summer of 2016 with a buy-back clause inserted in his contract.
Groomed at the Celta Vigo youth academy, Joselu joined Madrid in the summer of 2009. He scored twice in his two late substitute appearances for the first team. He was a hit with the Castilla where he hit the back of the net an impressive 26 times in the
penultimate season.
Joselu has signed a June 2016 expiring contract and was earmarked as an important attacking expense by Hoffenheim head coach, Markus Babbel. The new tactician revealed that he has high hopes from the Real Madrid B star and believes he will be a start in
his new surroundings.
"Joselu has already shown his class at Real Madrid. But he's still young as well and has a lot of potential. He fits in perfectly in this team and at Hoffenheim," Babbel shared at the arrival of the 22-year-old.
