Josep Guardiola responds to Yaya Toure
http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604’s coach, Josep Guardiola, has responded to Yaya Toure’s statement which was given earlier this week. The Manchester City midfielder claimed that he departed from the Catalan club only because of the Catalan coach. However, Guardiola has responded
to the Ivorian by stating that it was actually Toure’s decision to leave the club.
Last season Yaya Toure was rumoured to be leaving for the Premier League side Manchester City. City were under their coach http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Kolo-c21278 Toure, Yaya Toure’s brother, wanted his brother to make a union with his brother
in the English club.
Even though it was rumoured that Yaya Toure left the club because of his brother, the Ivorian recently claimed that he was forced to leave the Catalan club because of their coach Josep Guardiola.
The Catalan coach was recruiting a lot of new players and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Sergio-Busquets-c33048 looked to be his first choice in the midfield; therefore, Yaya Toure had to depart in order to find a first team place elsewhere.
Yaya Toure claimed that Josep Guardiola did not talk to him in his later days at the Spanish club. He was quoted saying:
"I did not speak to him in my last year there. There was no communication.”
He said that he wanted to stay at the club but Josep Guardiola never had faith in him.
After such accusations on the Catalan coach, Josep Guardiola came out and said:
"The truth is that he asked [club president Joan] Laporta to leave. We even tried to convince him to stay put. I will speak to him the next time we meet."
Barcelona are now a club which is least interested in buying a holding midfielder. The Spanish Champions are served by http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Javier-Mascherano-c18071 and Sergio Busquets. Moreover, Yaya Toure has changed his position from being a holding midfielder to being an attacking
midfielder.
