  1. It is perennial that usually grows to a height of 2-21/2 ft. it will have rather long pointy leaves that jut out out around a main stalk. the leaves have many colors on each one of them. Hence, the name "Joseph's coat". Because of their height they don't make good border plants but are fine in middle or back of bed.
