Werder Bremen’s new signing has admitted that he is ecstatic with his debut for the club and regards the transfer as the next big step in his career.

“I'm really pleased that my debut went so well. We've won and I was able to play a few minutes after just a short time in Bremen. Now it's important that I settle into the team as quickly as possible,” the attacker was quoted as
saying in an interview.
The former Club Brugge man added that it was a great feeling to make his debut in front of the home fans. Akpala stated that he is happy that his performances in Belgium were taken into consideration by Werder Bremen and is delighted
with the switch.

Joseph Akpala scored a total of 38 goals from the 102 league games for Belgian side Club Brugge in the four years he spent at the club. The player joined Werder Bremen for a reported fee of €2.5 million last month and will provide
