Joseph Crosby to take on Stephen Scott for light middleweight title – Boxing news
The American national professional boxer, Joseph Crosby is finally coming back to the ring after four months of break against compatriot, Stephen Scott.
The two fighters will be competing in their eight-round fight for the vacant New York State light middleweight title on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Crown Plaza in Albany, New York.
Ares Promotional company is managing the upcoming bout between the two pugilists.
The Light Middleweight contender, Joseph Crosby commented, “I wanted to be busier in the ring this year by fighting at least every two months but a lot of fighters have been reluctant to fight me. This opportunity came up to fight for the New York State
light middleweight title so for this fight I decided to move up in weight.”
The 25 year old, Crosby has fought 7 of his total fights of which he won 6 competitive bouts with one loss and no draw in his professional boxing career. Crosby scored his last fight by winning a fourth round decision over Greg Hackett on March 5, 2011 in
Newark, New Jersey. The orthodox stance, Crosby faced the first ever loss of career fighting against Trenton Titsworth, when he lost a unanimous points decision at the Taft Theatre in Ohio, United States.

On the other hand, the American national, Stephen Scott has fought 9 of his total fights, won 7 bouts against the world’s best prospects with 2 losses and no draws in his career.
The 25-year-old Scott is coming back to the ring after couple of his good fights against Kelvin Kibler and Martin Wright in 2011.
