  1. Joseph Stalin - A despotic ruler of the USSR post the revolution and throughout the WW11. Responsible for the death of millions of people in the USSR and responsible for the era known as the Cold War.

    Baby Boomer - A person born in the ten years after the end of WW11 and now reaching retirement. Usually independently wealthy and spends money on travel and large ticket items.

    Douglas MacArthur - Military leader in the Pacific during WW11 and in the recapture of the Philippines. Later lead allied forces in Korea and the formation of South Korea.

    Battle of Dunkirk - This was not so much as a battle but known as the last "Retreat" where British and French forces were cornered by the Germans in WW11 on the coast of France. This resulted in a heroic evacuation of thousands of soldiers off the beaches using all types of vessels from war ships to small pleasure craft. With these evacuees Britain was able to reform its army for the eventual invasion and liberation of Europe from the German forces.


  2. well the Battle of Dunkirk during World War 2 was the evacuation of over 400000 english and french troops across the English Channel.

    Baby boomers are when the U.S troops came home and got busy after ww2.
