Josesito Lopez: I am the better fighter and everyone will know it on the fight night – Boxing news
The World Boxing Council’s Super Lightweight Contender Josesito Lopez reckons he is a better fighter than the undefeated Super Lightweight Contender, Jessie Vargas.
Lopez from Riverside, California, who will step in the ring against the rising star Jessie Vargas on September 17, 2011 at the Staples Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, claimed he will prove himself to everyone on the fight night.
While speaking on his inclusion, he said, “Vargas is a good fighter, but I know that I am the better fighter with more drive. Come fight night, everyone will know it. I am thrilled, ready and focused for my fight against Jesse Vargas.”
This is the first time both American pugilists are to fight live on Home Box Office Pay-Per-View and Lopez is really excited about it.
“I'm excited for the opportunity to showcase my talent on HBO Pay Per View,” he said.
In the end Lopez, who has won 29 of his 33 professional fights including 17 by the way of a knockout, vowed he and Vargas are both going to put a great show for the audience.
Vargas has won all of his 16 fights as of yet including 9 by the way of a knockout and thus he is considered as one of the best boxers by many others in the sport. Hence, Lopez believes it is going to be a spectacular fight for the audience.
Lopez remarked, “Whenever you put fighters like me and Jessie in the ring, you are going to have a great fight on your hands because it will be two fighters at the top of our game getting it on.”
“I have to prove once again that I am ready to be at the top of my weight class,” Lopez added.
Lopez and Vargas both are eager to get into the ring in front of a soaked arena, as the likes of Floyd Mayweather and Erik Morales would also be fighting later on.
Let’s see if Lopez can really see off the unbeaten prospect in the ring or not.
