Question:

Josh Beckett or Ben Sheets?

I have Beckett. He has been up and down this year. I love how he competes, but he's been really inconsistent. Still, he can be great and in my opinion is still an ace on a good team.

Sheets has slowed down recently, but has been more consistent than Beckett. Like Beckett, he is on a strong team as well. I do like how Sheets is in the NL (More of a pitchers league than the AL).

It's a tough call because both can be great. Who would you rather have?

  1. I'd go with Beckett.  I also have him on two of my teams, and have witnessed his ups and downs, but overall, he is much more consistent than Ben Sheets.

Sheets has electric stuff, more overpowering than Beckett, but his long history of injuries makes me tell you to steer clear of him.

Also, don't forget that while Beckett plays in the AL where higher ERAs are generally more prevalent, he has one of the best offenses backing him up, so that should equate to a few more wins per season.

  2. beckett

  3. beckett.
