Josh Hamilton talks openly about his new beginning with Los Angeles Angels – MLB Update
Star outfielder Josh Hamilton has recently signed with the Los Angeles Angels. After spending some four years in the Texas Rangers, he decided to start a new beginning with the South Los Angeles baseball franchise.
His signing with the Angels has plenty of reasons. Some say he was not considered by the Rangers for re-signing while other say that Hamilton himself felt not welcome in the franchise where he had spent most of his Major League career.
Later a lucrative deal from the Los Angeles Angels made easy for five-year veteran as he decided to start a new beginning with them.
Recently, some reporters asked questions from Hamilton about all those unheard factors behind his signing with the Angels. Though he did not answer all the questions but still he was somehow tried to explain little details about choosing another Major League
team for future.
A question came from a reporter that how he thinks about Rangers fans and whether their treatment led him to sign with a new team, Hamilton said, “No. It's one of those things I think it's fans. They get used to a player playing one way and I started off
the season really hot and maybe their expectations got a little unrealistic. They have a right to boo, cuss me or do whatever they want to do because they pay to come see me play the game.
He added with more confidence and explained some more details, “You hope that your home fans don't do that but they do. If I go to the Angels here and I don't start well then I'm sure I will get booed and it doesn't bother me.”
Hamilton at middle of the season did not play well and showed no aggressive plays, however, his overall season’s stats are consistent as he ended the 2012 Major League campaign on a high note.
He achieved consistent numbers of .285 hitting average along with 128 RBIs and .354 OBP. Not only in the last Major League Baseball season, but he possesses good career stats of .304 hitting average along with 161 homers, 553 RBIs and .363 OBP.
