Josh Wilson’s single helps Milwaukee Brewers defeat Florida Marlins 6-5 – MLB Update

Florida Marlins lost their fourth consecutive game by a margin of one run on Sunday, June 5, as they lost to the Milwaukee Brewers 6-5 at Sun Life Stadium, Miami.
The four-game series’ third encounter resulted in favour of the Brewers when Josh Wilson homered in the eleventh inning.
However, the Brewers certainly put extraordinary efforts to win the third game in the row as the Marlins added to the uncertainty and kept the game open after a five-run sixth inning to level the score just when the Brewers had a 5-0 lead.
The Marlins need to reassess their game plans as they have lately found themselves in slightly difficult situations. "That has been the story," manager Edwin Rodriguez said. "They're trying too hard, I guess. They have to be more patient. Hopefully we can
fix that."
Rickie Weeks provided an ideal start to the Brewers with his two-run homer in the third inning followed by a single that Jonathan Lucroy scored. Anibal Sanchez gave up four hits in the inning and allowed three runs.
While Chris Narveson was going strong against the Marlins’ offence, Sanchez was subject to hits by the Brewers’ charged offence. Weeks scored the third run of the game and Prince Fielder drove a single to pile up the lead to 5-0.
Just when the Brewers thought things were in control, the Marlins’ offence did the unimaginable. Gaby Sanchez scored the first single to bring the lead down to 5-1 followed by an awe-inspiring grand slam that Brett Hayes hit to level the score.
Hayes’ hit put the Brewers in an uncomfortable position and the game at an enthralling place. Narveson was then replaced by Marco Estrada who pitched effectively.
The game then went into the 11th inning when Mike Dunn was hit by Wilson, bringing in the tiebreaking and potentially game-winning score. Wilson homered to left to change the map of the game.
Wilson was delighted after the single and said, "You live for those situations," said Wilson, who was making his first start for the Brewers after being claimed off waivers last month. "It's late in the game, and you have a chance to win a game or just contribute
and help the team, so it was exactly the spot I wanted to be in."
The game that faced unpredictability was something that the Brewers’ manager did not find particularly amusing. "We make it hard on ourselves," manager Ron Roenicke said. "But we're finding every way we can to win."
John Axford threw unhittable pitches in the eleventh inning to seal the 6-5 victory for the Brewers’ third win in row. The series last game will be played on Monday where the Marlins will try to outdo the disconcertion they have undergone all this while.
