Joshua Clottey makes Manny Pacquiao-Antonio Margarito prediction
Joshua Clottey has made a prediction for the upcoming November 13 fight between congressman-fighter Manny Pacquiao and alleged cheater Antonio Margarito.
His bets are on Manny.
"Margarito doesn't have the best defense and can be hit," Clottey mused recently to
boxingscene.com.  "When I fought Pacquiao, he was so fast. Like a blur. It’s very hard to catch him."
Clottey, a former welterweight champion, said that his career wasn’t in limbo following successive losses to Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto. "Joshua Clottey hasn't gone anywhere," Clottey said.
"I plan on hopefully fighting a tune-up soon and then, hopefully, I can get another big fight soon. I want to let all the fans know I am sorry for my last fight and I will put on a better performance in my next fight."
Clottey met Pacquiao at the Cowboys stadium in Arlington, Texas in March. He lost a one-sided decision that saw Pacquiao completely dominate a timid Clottey, who rarely punched at all.
When asked by boxingscene.com who he would like to fight in the future, Clottey indiscriminately said he would fight anyone.  "I want any big fight. I really want to fight Margarito or Cotto again. Cotto and I have unfinished business."
Clottey’s comments were a reference to his close decision with the current WBA junior middleweight champion. Clottey lost to Cotto in June 2009 at the Madison Square Garden.
While Clottey has shown he can compete with some world contenders, there are also those who feel he not completely an A-list boxer. Fights against notables such as Antonio Margarito, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, and Carlos Baldomir have all resulted in
defeats.
To his credit, Clottey has defeated Zab Judah, and Diego Corrales, both of whom are highly regarded in the boxing world.  A win over Judah earned him the vacant IBF welterweight title.
