Question:

Journalism Scholarships?

by  |  earlier

Could anyone please explain how scholarships work? If you are planning on applying for a MA in Journalism or Professional Writing, where do you begin? Do you apply for the university and the scholarship at the same time? Or do you have to be accepted by the school before you can apply for the scholarship? Do you have to have a specific program and school already in the works before you can apply for a scholarship (s)?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

  1. I think you have to apply at the same time as you apply for the course, and if for example you got the scholarship but not the course place the scholarship would be offered to a reserve candidate.

check the deadline for aplications, i think they are usually around the same time as the university applications.

    good luck
