Journalism info???

Question

Ok, i want to major in journalism...only, i'm not sure...it is an enjoyable job?? what's the monthly/yearly salary?? any additional info?? does anyone have experinces?

Plus...i love to write and i'm very creative if that helps

I say go for it. As far as reporting, let your conscious be your guide.

Just remember, a good Journalist is supposed to be impartial and that's the hardest thing in the world we live in.

I managed two big corporate newsletters. A word of advise, just remember to do your research and report things accurately and fairly. Also, know you audience and always be interesting and interested.

I enjoy my job. It's busy... lots to do. Basically you start at the bottom and work your way up... I think I started around $30,000 and have been getting raises with different promotions and publications.

I would suggest you get started on the school paper in college. You will absolutely need that experience to give you a leg up on the competition. Try and get an internship at a paper as well; a lot of times they will hire their interns full time after graduating and it's a great way to get your foot in the door.
