Journalism online internships???

Question

I am 16 years old and wanting to major in journalism in college. I live in an extremly small town where the "getting started now" isn't as easy as it may sound.

I am really looking for an online internship for journalism of any kind that I could get right now (being 16 yrs old). I really want any kind of online internship for journalism, it just seems impossible to find them when you are my age, although I am a really hard worker and great with writing.

I've never heard of an "on-line" internship, although there may be some out there. Most employers like to see you around the office once in a while.

Try the local weekly newspaper, and tell them you're interested in the business and are willing to work for nothing. That ought to help.
