Journalists (especially WRITERS,)what kind of money do you make?

And how long have you been working. Preferably answered by writers, as I am an aspiring internet journalist.

Not nearly enough.  Owners like to believe that content should be available for free.  Paying people to write seems to bother them.  

As far as writing for the Internet, that's even more risky, at least for now.  Most journalistic websites don't generate as much as income as their print counterparts.  That may well change in the future, but for now, a website probably isn't making a lot of money, and consequently, its writers aren't either.
