Journey time from university of melbourne to monash university?

by public transport, how long would it take to travel from the university of melbourne to monash university?

the only thing that i can add to the previous answer is that the time will vary between peak and non-peak periods

It would depend upon which way you went, and which camopus you are talking about. I am assuming the Clayton Campus which is what I will give the most answers about.

1)  Tram to Melbourne Central and Train to Caulfield (Caulfield Capus) would take you about 40 mins to 1 hour.

2)  If you went by tram to Melbourne Central then train to Oakleigh then bus to Monash Clayton -- It would take between 50 minutes to 1 hour 25 minutes.

3) If you went the same way, but stopped at Clayton station instead of Oakleigh then it would be slightly longer, even though Clayton Station is the closer.

4) If you went on the same route but got off at Springvale Station, bus to Wellington Road along Springvale Road then another bus along Wellington Road to Monash --  then the trip would be the longest.

5) If you went by tram to Melbourne Central then train to Glen Waverly then bus to Monash it would be slightly quicker.  I would say 45 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes.
