Andrea Della Valle, owner of the Artemio Franchi outfit, has stated that the club would be looking to keep hold of their star striker; however, Jovetic seems discontent.
The patron of La Gigliati was talking to the press and conceded that there was concrete interest in the striker, with Juventus actively pursuing the youngster.
Fiorentina had slapped a 30 million Euros price-tag on the striker, and when it seemed like Juventus would be coming close to that valuation, Della Valle took the player off the market.
The Viola chief has gone on to state that the club would be looking to hold on to the services of their prized asset, and cited his tender age as a reason to do so. Fiorentina are destined to lose one of their brightest talents,
and after losing http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Riccardo-Montolivo-c31049 on a free transfer to AC Milan, there is a loss in the quality of the team.
This has prompted the club to re-evaluate the situation and the owner has seemingly decided to hang on to the player. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Carlos-c8346 Dunga, former Fiorentina midfielder, spoke to the media and stated that the club must hang on to Fiorentina
if they want to be successful in the competitions they fight in.
Della Valle’s speech made it seem like Jovetic was not fully satisfied by the owner’s rationale, and Della Valle was philosophical in his explanation, as he went on to state:
“Stevan seemed pretty relaxed. He has to understand that in life other opportunities will cross his path.”
He went on to state that http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Luca-Toni-c22526 were in similar situations and he had asked them to remain for a year before he allowed them to leave. He also stated that money was not the issue as he had turned down mega offers
before as well, and the club patron further remarked:
“You know how we operate as a club; just try speaking to Luca Toni and Adrian Mutu. You know we gave up on around €45m for those two. Now we are turning down the offer for Jovetic and so in total reach €70m.”
If Fiorentina are determined in their resolve, Juventus might have to look elsewhere to fulfil their striking needs.
