Joyful Spirit, a strong contender for Betfred Mobile Handicap (Div II) at Nottingham
Joyful Spirit is all set to outpace her rivals in the Betfred Mobile Handicap (Div II), to be held at Nottingham on Wednesday, April 11, 2012. The three-year-old is full of spirit after taking a long break of more than six months.
The filly made her last trip on October 10, when she managed to grab second place in the Ladbrokes Game On! Nursery (Div I) at Windsor.
It was a fine performance by John Dunlop’s trainee, who kept herself prominent all the way through. The bay filly will have to come up with an even better performance in order to win today’s 1m2f50y meeting.
Among the confirmed entries are: Joyful Spirit, Bevis Marks, Neil´s Pride, Sheila´s Buddy, Marinus, Captain Cardington, Dorry K, Fine Altomis, Renegotiate, Chelsea Mick and Maliha.
Joyful Spirit will have to cross many obstacles on her way to the winning post. Sheila's Buddy, who is in fine rhythm at the moment, will not let her enjoy the party comfortably.
The three-year-old recently made his seasonal return with a huge bang. On March 03, the spectators at Lingfield saw him demonstrating a superb show in the Follow Us On Twitter @LingfieldPark Handicap.
Since he is a fresh winner, the bookies cannot afford to ignore his chances. His tradition of getting inconsistent is the only thing that might prevent the punters from placing bets on him.
Another runner with fair chances of winning is Bevis Marks. The three-year-old was not impressive in his first two races last year. After staying out of action for almost seven months, the bay colt returned to the track on March 24.
Despite an all out effort, the Mark Johnston-trained could only seize fourth place on the chart. Luck is not on his side these days, but the maverick runner is h**l-bent to deliver a thumping performance this time around.
Neil's Pride is also aiming to make a strong comeback. The three-year-old made her previous outing in July last year, when she ended up third in the Producers Nursery at Catterick.
According to our calculations, it will be a hard battle between Joyful Spirit and Sheila's Buddy. The latter is in winning mood at the moment, but Joyful Spirit’s skills will be tough to control. Best of luck to everyone.
