The American ace insists that he is enjoying every moment at AFAS Stadion while stressing that he has developed his skills further since arriving at the Eredivisie outfit.

AZ Alkmaar striker, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jozy-Altidore-c19634, has stressed that he is fully content with his role at AFAS Stadion, and has insisted that he wants to perform consistently in the upcoming 2012/13 season.
The 22-year-old striker, who arrived at AFAS Stadion at the start of the 2011/12 campaign after spending three seasons at Villareal, played at five different clubs since making his debut for New York Red Bulls in the summer of
2006.
After moving to Villareal at the start of the 2008/09 season, the striker was loaned to Xerez, Hull City and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Bursaspor-c38700 respectively, and the 22-year-old has insisted that he is now content to be plying his trade at AFAS Stadion.
“I am not at all unhappy. After all those years with different clubs, I needed a club where I could play regularly, and could develop my skills further. I believe that I am getting better and better day by day now at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/AZ-c38571. If I compare
myself to the striker that came here in 2011, there will be a huge difference”, Altidore was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The American international, who has thus far made close to 50 appearances for his national football team, went on to admit that he failed to perform consistently.
“I realise that I was not consistent in my performances. I know that I have to perform week in week out if I want to enjoy regular playing time”, Altidore concluded.
The talented striker, who netted 15 goals in 34 league appearances in his first season in Alkmaar, has an ongoing contract at AFAS Stadion that runs until the summer of 2015.
With the youngster making his intentions clear that he is happy staying at Alkmaar at the moment, it seems unlikely that he would be moving away from AFAS Stadion in the next couple of years.
However, the American ace would be keen to perform more consistently this term, and help his side win silverware at the end of the 2012/13 season.
