  1. I am all for the 13 weight classes that currently exsist. For the record Jr Middle is 154 lbs.

  2. I don't mind the extra weight classes.  The thing that gets me is all of the "champions" in each weight class.  There should only be one champ per division, which is the way that it used to be and the way that it should be.  That is one of the many reasons why I only consider the Ring Magazine's champions as the TRUE champs in each weight division, I consider everyone else "titlists."

I don't mind the junior and super weight classes because it gives more guys a chance to fight at a weight that they are more effective at.  If a guy is struggling to make weight at welterweight, he can go to junior middleweight and still keep most of his speed and power and fight more effective at that weight.  On the same note, I think that we have enough weight divisions currently (17 divisions total) and I don't think that there should be a super heavyweight division as many people have recently suggested.

Oh, and not to be picky, but the junior middleweight limit is 154 lbs.

  3. I think they are a great Idea. I am a supermiddle weight I am very short for my weight and at middleweight which I am on a strict diet to try and make safely.without supermiddle weight I would either have to dehydrate myslef to middleweight or fight guys twice my size at light heavyweight.

  4. I also think that these weight classes are a good idea. You have a more direct comparison of the fighters when they are nearly at an equal weight.
