The addition of David Ferrer to the draw in Buenos Aires puts another obstacle in Ferrero’s way here. If the two meet in the final (and they are the top two seeds), Ferrer could reasonably be expected to win it – he leads 5-1 in their head-to-head matches so far. Ferrero, though, was the king of clay back in his day and the Brazil Open title points to a return to form, so he is a good chance here.
