Juan Ignacio Chela blows away Mikhail Kukushkin in the Round Robin of the Power Horse World Team Cup
An excellent start for Team Argentina at the Power Horse World Team Cup, as Juan Ignacio Chela took down the Kazakh opponent Mikhail Kukushkin in the Round Robin stage on Sunday. Being played at Rochusclub in Düsseldorf, Germany,
the Argentine drowned his opponent in straight sets 6-1, 6-2, taking merely one hour and twenty minutes of play to conclude a comprehensive victory.
The world number 43, Chela exerted his dominance upon the bleak Kazakh rival to assist his team register a complete white wash victory. It was the first time that Kukushkin faced Chela in a singles matchup and proved no match for
the aggressive Argentine in the contest. Chela took off the opener in an attacking manner and carried on his winning momentum in the following set as well to finish off the contest in style. He kept the games short and professional, giving limited chances
to his opponent in the game.
Kukushkin had a horrible start to the game and appeared in all sorts of confusions from the very first minute. His first serve precision was phenomenal in the contest, reaching 73 per cent but he failed to bag sufficient points

Chela in the whole contest and had no choice but to surrender in the second set to let his team fall back in the competition.
31-year-old Argentine veteran had a blistering start to the contest, breaking in the very first game to lead 2-0. His 74 per cent first serve secures 12 out of 17 points for him in the opener and he took full advantage of the bleak
game of Kukushkin. The Kazakh competitor couldn’t construct a single chance to break Chela and continued spilling out unforced errors throughout. The Argentine continued to dominate the first set and stung two more breaks to seal the set at 6-1 to get one
up.
The second set was no different from the opener except Kukushkin registering his first serve break of the match in the third game. Chela back fired at his opponent with three break points to leave him answerless. The contest finally
finished at 6-2, with Chela taking his team to a 2-0 lead in the competition. His fellow compatriot, Juan Monaco, defeated Andrey Golubev earlier in the opening clash of the Round Robin and ejected the Kazakh squad from the World Team Cup.
