Juan Manuel Marquez claims he will beat Manny Pacquiao like he did before – Boxing news
Juan Manuel Marquez, who is the current World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and the Ring Lightweight Champion, has claimed he will outpoint the eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World
Champion (Super Champion), Manny Pacquiao, on November 12, 2011.
The Mexican Dinamita, Marquez, who will take on the Fighting Pride of Philippines, Pacquiao, in their much-anticipated trilogy at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, admitted Pacquiao is truly one of the best fighters in the sport right now. However,
the Mexican pugilist insisted he beat the Filipino star in their previous two fights.
The 38-year-old Marquez stated he was robbed in the previous two fights against Pacquiao so this time he will prove himself.
He talked about Pacquiao and said he “shows the teachings s of his trainer Freddie Roach with his boxing. His (Pacquiao’s) punches are more technical, there is more use of the right hand and he has matured into an excellent fighter.”
Voicing his oft-repeated claim, Marquez said, “Everyone knows I was robbed in the two previous fights. I beat Pacquiao before and I’ll do it again.”
Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz is pretty confident of his fighter. Koncz said Pacquiao is a humble guy and that is a reason why he does not make pre-fight predictions. However, the advisor remarked Pacquiao will win by way of a knockout this time.
Koncz remarked, “Let him say what he wants. But I can sense that Manny is extra motivated for this fight. He is humble so Manny won’t make any predictions but it will be the other way around. He’ll knock out Marquez.”
The Marquez-Pacquiao bout is going to pull a huge crowd in the arena, as both fighters have an army of fans behind them. Moreover, this is the third time they will be taking on each other in the ring and this fight promises to be nothing less than a thriller.
