Juan Manuel Marquez says Manny Pacquiao cannot think about Floyd Mayweather because of him – Boxing
The current World Boxing Association Super, World Boxing Organisation and Ring Lightweight World Champion, Juan Manuel Marquez, believes Manny Pacquiao, who is an eight-division world champion and the current World Boxing Organisation Welterweight World
Champion (Super Champion), cannot look beyond him and onto a possible super-fight against the undefeated American legend Floyd Mayweather.
The Mexican Dinamita, Marquez, who is set to meet Pacquiao in a much-anticipated bout on November 12, 2011 at the MGM Grand Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, in HBO’s Face Off with Max Kellerman claimed he will once again put a great show for the audience. Marquez
also revealed he has done a lot of hard work for this fight and hopefully he will win this time.
“People will see another war, people will see another great fight. I prepared myself very hard, and I am looking for the victory,” Marquez said. “He can't think about Mayweather, he has to think about November 12.”
This is the third time Pacquiao and Marquez will face each other in the ring. They first met each other back in May 2004 at the same Arena in Las Vegas and the fight ended up in a controversial draw. The second time both fighters took on each other was in
March 2008 which Pacquiao won via split decision. Therefore, Pacquiao admitted Marquez is not happy with their way the first two fights ended.
“Marquez is not satisfied about the decision of the last two fights, and that's his right to complain. But this is the third fight, and I agreed to this fight because I want to finish all the doubt in his mind, and in the fans' mind about who really won,”
Pacquiao remarked. “That's why we have a third fight.”
The Pacquiao-Marquez fight is being considered as fight of the year. Let’s hope their fans get a great show once again.
