Juan Martin Del Potro to feature in the quarter-final tie of the Davis Cup – Tennis News
World number nine, Juan Martin Del Potro, has decided to contest in the quarter-final stage of the Davis Cup tournament. He will be leading the Argentine squad in April at Buenos Aires against the Croatian team. The contest starts
from 6th April and go on for a couple of days until April 8.
Del Potro didn’t take part in the previous rounds of the Davis Cup tie. He was busy with his singles schedule and didn’t want to risk his body by taking part in that tournament as well. However, he is always available for the Argentine
Tennis officials to be selected for the duty in the Davis Cup.
Davis Cup coach of Argentine team, Franco Davin, talked to the media representatives of ESPN. He stated, “It's going to play where he put: the individual, twice. Everything you want to submit the play.”
Germany was the previous competitor of Argentine in the Davis Cup tie. Despite the absence of their number one tennis ace, the Argentine squad hammered the German team to place a berth in the quarter-final stages of the tournament.
Further adding about the tournament, Davin stated, “It's a physical play everything, but he is young and wants to meet.” It is good to see that top players are not snubbing the duties to their nation. Del Potro has been in sublime
run of form in the recent past and his contribution can take the team’s play to the next level.

Grand Slam title and reached the quarter-final stage of the tournament before being dumped by the ultimate master of tennis from Switzerland, Roger Federer.
Open 13 in Marseille proved to be a successful tour for the Argentine. He was the fourth seeded player in the tournament and defeated the top seed French, Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, before dumping another French opponent, Michael Llodra,
in the title match.
