Chelsea and Spain international’s Juan Mata and http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Oriol-c28659 Romeu have revealed they are looking forward to the Blue’s summer tour of the United States.
This will be the first tour of the United States for Romeu, who signed in the summer transfer window of 2011 along with Mata. The 24-year-old attacking midfielder already has quite a significant fan base due to his Twitter account, where he makes regular
posts.
Chelsea are scheduled to travel to Seattle, New York, Philadelphia and Miami and Romeu and Mata will both be looking forward to the trip. The http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/United-States-c3034 but had heard only good things about
the country.
Romeu said in an interview:
“I have never been to America but everyone says it is really nice there - the weather, the places, everything. People only have good words for America and the facilities there.
I think it is going to be a big experience for all of us ahead of the season because pre-season is really important to get your body ready and start the campaign as well as you can. So I am excited about going to the USA.”
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 defensive midfielder said he expected the experience to be a pleasant one and hoped the pre-season tour went well for all of them. He believed pre-season was extremely important for a side if they wished to do well when the season kicked
off.
Romeu went on to make an impressive 23 appearances in all competitions last season and can expect a bigger role in the upcoming season. Mata on the other hand, made 53 appearances in all competitions, with 12 goals and 22 assists.
The Chelsea Player of the Year, who happened to be in the World Cup and Champions League winning side revealed he hoped to gain more supporters for the club by touring the United States.
