The Spanish forward has made it clear that he has come to England to win silverware with Chelsea and they will try their best to qualify for the UEFA Champions League this season by finishing in the top four teams of the Premier
League...
Juan Mata has revealed that Chelsea are prepared to take on their rivals till the end of the season to confirm their participation in next season’s UEFA Champions League. Mata who moved to Chelsea in the summer transfer window
from http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Valencia-c40863 last year has done remarkably well for his first season in the Premier League.
Mata who has been deployed in a trequartista role at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 in mid-week in their
Champions League semi-final tie and after that they are scheduled to play against http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Arsenal-c38429 on the weekend.
Chelsea are currently struggling to make it into the top four teams of the league but a win against Arsenal can do wonders for them given that other results go their way as well. Mata said, "I came to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/England-c749 to win titles. Getting
to the FA Cup final and having a chance [to advance] in the Champions League could change the balance of this season as things haven't been going as we had thought they would in the summer."
He added, "Inconsistency is killing us in the Premier League. I don't know why but we haven't been able to kill off [our opponents] in a number of games and we have dropped points which we now could do with having. It will be hard
to get into the top four but we are going to fight until the last day to get to the Champions League."
