Juan Monaco slaughtered Robby Ginepri to enter semis - US Men’s Clay Court Championships 2013

Seeded third at this clay court event, Monaco reeled off last eleven games and cruised into the semi-finals. The players previously met each other in Poertschach five years ago and after stealing this show, he improved to a 2-0 lifetime in the FedEx ATP
Head 2 Head series against the American.
“From the beginning, I had a good feeling. I was serving well,” said Monaco. “Every game I got more confident. I played very well. Maybe it Robby didn't have a good day. I have great memories on this court.
Monaco made a convincing entry into this battle. After Ginepri held his serve in the second game, the Argentinean unleashed his skills and bagged the opener with a breadstick.

Next in queue for Monaco is the local seed, John Isner. He reflected,
“John is a great player. I'll have to play like today or even better tomorrow if I want to beat him. I have to be focused. When I get the opportunity, I can't miss it. I have to be ready.”
The fifth seeded Isner rallied past the Lithuanian challenger, Ricardas Berankis, in a three-set thriller to set up this clash. He smashed 19 aces and clobbered a 6-3, 3-6, 6-3 score line against the 22-year-old.
