The AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 defender believes that the former Pescara manager is one of the most stimulating coaches in the country; insists he wants to recover from his injury as soon as possible.
Juan has voiced his excitement at the prospect of being able to play under Zdenek Zeman, and stated that he is eager to adapt to the style of the new manager.
The Czech coach led Pescara to victory in Serie B, and consequently booked their ticket for the next season of Serie A.
The tactician has now signed a two-year deal with his former club as replacement for Luis Enrique, who resigned from the Giallorossi after failing to lead them to a place in the UEFA Champions League.
Juan was all praise for Zeman, and stated that the former Pescara tactician is one of the most stimulating managers in the world of Italian football.
The Giallorossi defender stated that he is excited at the prospect of being able to work with the former Parma manager, and he cannot wait to start a new season under the new boss.
The Brazilian international stated that he is currently focused on recovering from his injury, and revealed that he is undergoing a rehabilitation programme. The Maggica defender insisted that he wants to return as soon as possible
in order to start playing under Zeman.
Juan stated that his target is to beat the injury in time before the start of the pre-season training with their new tactician.
While talking to La Repubblica, the 33-year-old said:
“Zeman is one of the best and most stimulating Coaches in Italian football. I really can’t wait to start working for him. I’m currently working to a rehabilitation programme after injury and I want to be back as soon as possible
so I can understand Zeman’s football. I want to be totally ready by the time we start pre-season training.”
The veteran has just one year left on his contract with AS Roma, and struggled with form and injuries in his last season with the Maggica.
The former Bayer Leverkusen player made 16 appearances for the Giallorossi in the 2011-12 campaign.
