Juan wants Daniele De Rossi to stay at Roma and wishes Mexes luck on his Milan move
A.S Roma defender, Juan, is confident that midfielder, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Daniele-De-Rossi-c10112, will remain at the Stadio Olimpico Rome and wishes Philippe Mexes luck on joining A.C Milan.
De Rossi’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 future is under serious doubts as he has rejected an extension to his contract with the club. The Italian has only one year left on his current contract and has told his bosses that he wants to leave this summer.
Juan wants the midfielder to stay as he sees him as an important figure in the team. The Brazilian added that De Rossi is a leader on the pitch and he is an inspiration for everyone at the club.
Talking to the reporters Juan said, “De Rossi is calm. He’s working with a great deal of enthusiasm and he has lots of quality. He is a leader and we want him to continue with us.”
De Rossi is not happy with life in Rome for so many reasons. He had a very unsettling 2010/11 campaign, in which he lost the support of his fans and was recipient of constant boos from them. The 27-year-old is also citing personal
reasons for his exit from the club and revealed few months back that he is receiving death threats from the people who killed his father in law.
New club manager, Luis Enrique, and Sporting Director, Walter Sabatini have also stated their desire of keeping the Italian international at the club.
Juan also expressed his sadness over Mexes’s departure from Rome and added that his absence will be felt. The Frenchman joined A.C Milan on a free transfer this summer and his former teammate has wished him luck for the new http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684.
“It’s odd to see Mexes in a different shirt. However, he made his decision. Milan are a great side and I wish him all the best.”
Roma are in rebuilding process after the change in management this season and the new manager, Enrique, is looking to make several changes to the squad.
