Spanish international, Juanfran, echoed the sentiments of his manager, stating that he is confident they will be playing in the prestigious European club competition in the near future. He remarked that they are focused on their targets, but believes they
should be able to achieve it for the fans, whatever the adversity they face.
“I believe the time is now. We have to be aware and focussed that this is the year that Atletico Madrid have to be in the Champions League. Clearly La Liga is difficult but Atletico Madrid will be in the top four, of course. Our fans deserve it,” he said
while talking to Mundo Deportivo.
