Jubilee Games expected to succeed in Weatherbys Super Sprint
Jubilee Games will have a great chance of prevailing in the Weatherbys Super Sprint at Newbury in England on Saturday, July 14, 2012. He will have to battle some quality runners in order to win the cash prize of £122,925 in the class-2 event.
There has been a lot of rain at Newbury, which has left the track heavy. This will not be good news for some runners, who do not like such conditions. However, the situation will be ideal for a few participants, who will see this as an opportunity to cause
an upset.
There is more rain expected before the start of action and this will definitely work in favour of Jubilee Games, who enjoys running in such conditions. He does not have a lot of experience, but that will not be a big issue for him, as the most important
thing is his ability to do well under these circumstances.
The bookmakers have given a general starting price of 18 to 1 to the young colt, who might surprise them in the end. It will be a very good idea to place some bets in his favour, but the punters will be carefully looking at other options as well.
Jubilee Games made his debut in competitive racing back in April 2012 and he performed well in his first ever race. Although he finished outside the top three, yet his speed was good enough to earn him some respect amongst his rivals.
The two-year-old colt managed to finish fourth in that event after a stiff competition against some decent runners. He was priced 11 to 2 back then and could have achieved more in the end.
Despite that, the Richard Fahey’s trainee did not have to wait long for his first victory, as he achieved the landmark in his very next outing. He was rated as the outright favourite back then and lived up to the expectations of everyone in the end.
He was not given the best odds in his most recent race, but that did not matter, as he proved the bookies wrong and stormed to a comprehensive victory on a heavy ground. This shows that he will be quite strong today as well under jockey, Ryan Powell.
