Judd Trump crashes out of 2012 Wuxi Classic after losing to Robert Milkins – Snooker Update
World Number two and the former World Snooker Championship runner up, England’s Judd Trump was unable to save himself from a brutal defeat by the score line of 5-3 at the hands of Robert Milkins in the second round of the 2012 Wuxi Classic snooker tournament
at the Wuxi Sports Center arena in Wuxi, China. Trump was not expecting such a great performance from Milkins and took it a bit easy playing against him.
In his recent statement after winning his first round match against the Welshman Dominic Dale, Trump commented that it was time to step up and prove to the world what he is capable of. He proved his class in the first round match and moved forward into the
second round.
He was aiming to make it to the top of the potters in the 2012 Wuxi Classic line up with his classy performance and especially when the four-time World Snooker Championship winners, Ronnie O’Sullivan and John Higgins are not participating in the tournament,
the journey can be easy for him. However, he failed to fulfil his desire as Milkins ended all his hopes of leading the game.
Speaking to World Snooker after his loss, Trump said, “I felt good at 3-1 up and I was in first next frame but then I missed a black and from then on he didn't do a lot wrong, he didn't miss that many. Then in the last frame I got in, I was a bit unlucky
to go in-off but he didn't really give me another chance, he played pretty well.”
He added, “I think my safety was good today, I think the only thing that let me down was my potting, that was the difference. I think you have got to believe in yourself. If you don't believe in yourself no one else is going to believe in you.”
Trump was tremendous in the first session of the match as he breezed into two frames lead by 3-1 but in the second session, he totally collapsed against Milkins and failed to win any frame. Milkins, on the other hand, dominated the second session and clinched
four consecutive frame wins to ensure his victory by the score line of 5-3.
