Judd Trump disappointed over his defeat against Robert Milkins in Round 2 of 2012 Wuxi Classic
Despite high aims in the 2012 Wuxi Classic snooker tournament, England’s Judd Trump was unable to maintain his impressive form and tumbled down by the score line of 5-3 in the second round at the hands of Robert Milkins.
Milkins bounced back from 1-3 to unsettle his opponent in the second session of the match with four consecutive frame wins.
While speaking to World Snooker, Trump said, “I think we both played pretty well, it was just the odd ball missed here and there really. All the frames were over pretty quickly so it was probably good to watch but it was disappointing to throw it away because
if I'd gone 4-1 up I think I would have won it.”
The spectators present at the Wuxi Sports Center arena in Wuxi, China witnesses a superb performance from the World Number two as he breezed into 1-3 lead in the first session but failed to retain his lead in the second and lost the match. Trump feels very
disappointed because he was not expecting such a result. He admitted that he took it easy and made some silly mistakes during his run in the game.
The 22-year-old added, “It was just a careless shot on the black to miss it but he did a lot of hard work to come back from there and he didn't really look like missing. I think you have got to believe in yourself. If you don't believe in yourself no one
else is going to believe in you.”
Winner of the 2011 UK Championship, Judd Trump of England emerged as a young talent when he claimed the 2011 China Open snooker tournament. He grabbed the attention of snooker fans especially after he reached the 2011 World Snooker Championship final against
John Higgins. Despite losing in the final encounter, he was loved and appreciated around the world.
However, after that he tumbled down a bit in the next season but managed to finish the season impressively winning the 2011 UK Championship. He was aiming to start the new snooker season with a tremendous major ranking snooker event but his hopes ended when
his compatriot Milkins put up excellent snooker skills to beat him 5-3.
