Judd Trump is prepared for any challenge in 2012 World Snooker Championship – Snooker News
Last year, the 2011 China Open winner, England’s Judd Trump was not able to win the 2011 World Snooker Championship against the eventual Champion, Scotland’s John Higgins.
Despite his defeat, the Englishman did not lose hope and continued his good form in all major and minor snooker events this season. This year, the Englishman believes he is well prepared for the 2012 World Snooker Championship.
With his impressive performance in the current snooker season, Trump was able to clinch a couple of minor events along with the 2011 UK Championship.
The Bristolian potter has his eyes on the mega event title and is ready to accept any challenge during his run in the Championship. He has been placed against the Welshman, Dominic Dale in the Last 32 round of the event.
The Ace was appreciated after the Englishman clinched the 2011 China Open snooker event and emerged as a new top dog of the game and so far he has achieved so far.
Trump has been a superb performer in the 2011-12 Snooker Season and became one of the players who clinched two Players Tour Championship (PTC) in the same season. The 22-year-old is now all set to start his campaign for the ultimate glory in the 2012 World
Snooker Championship.
Speaking to the media, Trump said, “This tournament changed my life last year. I played very well throughout and it will be hard to play as well and to that level again even though, overall, I am a better player. I am prepared and won’t take anything for
granted.”
The Bristol cueman added, “It is a bit silly me being favourite after 13 good months. In my mind, I have John Higgins or Ronnie O’Sullivan as favourite. People are expecting a lot and for me to carry on from last year, but it may be tougher.”
Meanwhile, there had been a lot of discussions about Trump’s living style which he has defended saying that he wants to make the most of his life because there is always an uncertainty what is going to happen next. It will be interesting to see how Trump
builds some confidence and consistency in his game.
