Judd Trump is snooker’s new ‘Wonder Boy’

The 21-year-old, Judd Trump, has become snooker’s new hero, as he has become the only player since, Jimmy White and Ronnie O’Sullivan, to capture public attention in the last seventeen days.
Though he lost his battle in the final of the Crucible Theatre, he has won an army of fans. The Bristolian Ace potter, Trump has left everyone drooling with admiration. His admirers also include some of the biggest
names in snooker like Ronnie O’Sullivan, Jimmy White, Steve Davis and John Higgins.
Former six-time World Champion, Steve Davis, told the media "O'Sullivan is a genius, but I have to say this guy Judd Trump is making my jaw drop more than anyone I have ever seen."
Meanwhile, former three-time World Champion, Ronnie O’Sullivan had this to say, "Judd's greatest asset is his game terrifies people. Never seen anyone pot so well. Scary."
Finally, the People's Champion and six-time Crucible finalist, Jimmy White, tweeted, "He's so entertaining and I love his flair shots. Reminds me so much of myself at his age."
However, the most flattering admiration has come from the current World Number 1, John Higgins, who outplayed him in the final of this year’s Betfred.com World Snooker Championship to lift his fourth Crucible Crown.
He said, "We've got a new star. Oldies like us will get pushed aside because he's the future. He's the new wonder boy the sport's been looking for."
He also admitted in the post-match interview that he was scared to death even when he used to go for the safety shots. Moreover, the 35-year-old Scot said he has beaten a multiple future World Champion.
The World Number 14, Trump, who practices with Ronnie O’Sullivan at the Grove Snooker Academy, produced ten centuries during this World Championship and his long pot ability has left everyone flabbergasted.
Judd Trump could have become the second youngest Crucible winner ever after Stephen Hendry since 1990 but his chance faded away in the last session, as he missed some key shot at vital moments. However, there is no
doubt that he has a very bright future in the game and he will become the World Champion one day.
