Judd Trump satisfied with his form in 2012 World Snooker Championship – Snooker News
Despite showing outstanding performance in the second round clash of the 2012 World Snooker Championship, the 2011 China Open winner, England’s Judd Trump, was unable to win the match against compatriot Ali Carter and crashed out of the tournament after
losing by the score line of 12-13 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield.
The 22-year-old Trump is not disappointed with his form or losing the Championship spot, instead, he is quite satisfied with his game play in the mega event and has insisted that he will go into the next snooker season with new hopes without any regrets
of the past.
Trump reckoned that the he played better in the Crucible conditions and expressed that as he enters the next season, he will forget about the past to move on ahead. He added that he will just move ahead to play in the next season and figure out a plan to
win as many snooker tournaments as he can.
While speaking to World Snooker after his match against Carter, Trump said, “If I was fully fit then I would expect to play a lot better but I just tried to play the best I could in the conditions. He played better, he was more mentally ready and I struggled.”
The Ace added, “As soon as I get into the new season then it will be completely forgotten. I'll just go out and play my own game again and hopefully I'll have a better season next year.”
Trump’s clash against Carter started with his splendid lead over the former World Snooker Championship runner-up. He breezed into a tremendous lead of 12-9 against Carter at the end of third session.
At this point, Mr. Haircut 100 was very hopeful of clinching the victory but unfortunately he was unable to snatch even a single frame. Carter smashed some impressive snooker shots in last five frames to claim the victory by 12-13.
Former World Snooker Championship runner-up from England, Trump had a convincing snooker season as he clinched the second most prestigious event, the 2011 UK Championship along with some minor ranking tournaments including the Players Tour Championship (PTC)
and the Premier League Snooker (PLS). He will be planning for a better run in the upcoming snooker season.
