Judd Trump says he loves playing in Ireland as he participates in 2011-12 PTC Grand Finals
Another emerging young snooker talent from English soil, Judd Trump is all set to test his luck at the Bailey Allen Hall arena in Galway, Ireland after he participates in the 2011-12 Players Tour Championship (PTC) Grand Finals. The youngster says he loves
to play snooker in Ireland because he gets a tremendous amount of support from the Irish snooker fans not only in Ireland but also around the world.
Ireland has always been one of the snooker loving nations across the world where the potters are always welcomed. All potters like to play in Ireland. The game of snooker returned to Ireland last year after its dormancy for six years. The 2010-11 PTC Grand
Finals were organised here at the Helix Theatre in Dublin from March 16 which was won by England’s Shaun Murphy.
Trump has performed well in the past tournaments of this season and feels he can do well in the rest. The Bristolian potter is currently one of the most tremendous players of snooker world. He earned this glory after he clinched his first major ranking title
in China winning the 2011 China Open. He reached the final of the 2011 World Snooker Championship which added more to his achievements.
The 22-year-old became apple of everyone’s eyes after he grabbed the 2011 UK Championship. He placed himself in the list of top players of snooker after that. Mr. Haircut 100 must be looking forward to hit the winning spot in the 2011-12 PTC Grand Finals
as well.
Speaking to the local media, Trump said, “After I won the UK Championship in December, I said I felt as if I could dominate the game.”
He added, “I love playing in Ireland, the fans are fantastic and I'll be taking the PTC Finals very seriously. I feel as if I have played well over the past few tournaments, but I've just lost the odd frame here and there, which could have been the difference
between winning and losing matches.”
The World Number three has been placed in the quarter-final stage in the 2011-12 PTC Grand Finals. He will meet China’s Xiao Guodong or Wales’ Dominic Dale.
