Trying to do some family/geneaology research, and don't know much about my grandmother's family. Looking at the picture, what could her ancestry be? Thanks!

  1. Either African or Latino. I would say African because my 7th grade teacher look alot like that and she was African American.

  2. She has a good strong jaw bone and beautiful cheeks...what a sweet looking grandma!  I would guess an African-American and Caucasian mix because my brother in-law is that same combination and they have some similar combinations in skin tone and facial features...  Although your grandma is obviously more womanly!:0)   My husband is the same combination as his brother and a doctor could not tell he had any kind of African-American in him..but he definitely does!  Are you in New Orleans?  In that case I would guess a combination of French and African-American?!  Tell her to keep smilin' so pretty!  Isn't it odd how people make judgments by appearances sometimes and they really don't know what they are talking about?  Peace be with you and yours.

  3. Sorry I don't know but you must be very proud to have such a fine looking woman as your grandmother! Bet she had a wicked sense of humour. If I were to take a punt I would say perhaps a mix of African & Indian blood but who cares she is who she is!

  4. Beautiful Grandmother

  5. she looks native American/black/Irish....

  6. west indian

  7. African american

    possibly puerto rican

    or maybe just indian

one of those three I believe.
