After a lacklustre performance last time around, Judicial Ruling is determined to bounce back. Considering his loads of abilities, the bookmakers have declared him favourite for the second quarter final of Williamhill.com Greyhound
Derby, taking place at Wimbledon on Tuesday, May 15th.
The 480 metres Flat heat is scheduled to begin at 20:50 GMT. The Grade OR event holds a cash prize of £225, which is revered for the ultimate champion.
Judicial Ruling is set to face some in-form hounds. Their names are: Young Sid, Shelbourne Geoff, Coolavanny Bert, Farloe Ironman and Tinas Nova.
Judicial Ruling completed his hat-trick at the start of this month. After three wonderful performances, he was expected to continue his winning journey, but luck did not smile on him. In the last round of the Derby, he finished
third on the table.
After being bumped early on, he was in no position to aim for the top place. Today’s race is a fine chance for him to regain his winning momentum and enter the semi-final round with the favourite tag.
However, he will have to show his A-game in order to claim the top prize. Young Sid is also is good shape these days. In the second round of the championship, he was defeated by Judicial Ruling.
Since he is facing same opponent today, he will be under some pressure. In the last round, P. Young’s trainee was mighty impressive, as he secured the top place by four and a quarter lengths.
Shelbourne Geoff is also coming into this battle after a classy success. After a couple of unlucky outings, the white and fawn dog broke the shackles and sealed a comprehensive win last time around.
Coolavanny Bert is another dangerous candidate. The black dog will come out in the middle in search of his hat-trick after two wonderful performances lately. Tinas Nova might spring up a surprise whereas Farloe Ironman have
no chance what so ever.
According to our calculations, Young Sid is the biggest threat to Judicial Ruling. The latter has defeated his major rival earlier in the competition. So, he can be preferred over Young Sid. We wish the best of luck to everyone.
