Judicial Ruling keeps victory in sight in the Williamhill.com Greyhound Derby 3rd Rnd Heat 8
Judicial Ruling is expected to race in an impeccable manner in the Grade OR Williamhill.com Greyhound Derby 3rd Rnd Heat 8 at Wimbledon on 12th May, 2012, where he will take on five other competitors over 480 metres for £175.
The son of Duke Special, out of Best Fast Lady, will enter the race from trap 5, and will race as a favourite with a winning shot of 8-11.
The lightly raced hound has won three of his four career starts.
Trained by M. O'Donovan, he finished sixth in his maiden, but completed an impressive hat-trick after that from 11th April, 2012, till 5th May, 2012.
In his most recent start, he gained the lead and bagged the victory in the Grade OR Heat 11 at Wimbledon, where he finished 4 ¾ large lengths ahead of the P. Young trained Young Sid.
The hound may lack experience, but his familiarity with the track will definitely work in his favour, as all three of his previous victories took place here.
Razldazl Bugatti, son of Brett Lee, out of Razldazl Pearl, has more experience compared to the rest of the competition, and this is an advantage he has over the rest.
He has raced at a number of different tracks including Wimbledon, Shelbourne Park, and Monmore.
Trainer D. Ruth ran him through a solo run at Wimbledon on 18th April, 2012, at about 480 metres – which he covered in 28.66 seconds.
The black hound finished fifth in the Grade OR Heat 3 (5 To Qualify) at Wimbledon on 27th April, 2012, where he completed the race in 29.46 seconds, whereas the winner, Barefoot Allstar, completed the race in 28.60 seconds.
Whelped on 6th June, 2009, the hound showed remarkable progress in the race that followed, as he landed a victory over, Brinkleys Flyer, by 4 ¾ lengths in the Grade OR Heat 8 at Wimbledon on 4th May,
2012.
It seems that Judicial Ruling will take the race today, and he will be closely followed by Razldazl Bugatti.
