Judys Legacy v Cill Dubh Colin – Hove 515m A4 Heat Preview
The spectators at Hove will witness a nerve-breaking contest between Judys Legacy and Cill Dubh Colin, as the two hounds are set to meet in a 515 metre flat Grade A4 heat on Friday. With a cash prize of £119, the race is scheduled to commence at 12:27.
Following is the line-up for this high profile contest.
Judys Legacy
Glencarn Man
Crackaway Kiddo
Wineandsoda
Cill Dubh Colin
Romeo Exile
After a brilliant performance in his previous outing, Judys Legacy will surely kick off the proceedings as favourite. However, it is not going to be a simple task for D. Knight’s trainee, as Cill Dubh Colin will be there to put hurdles in his way.
Apart from his one victory on January 6, Judys Legacy did nothing special last month. But he earned his respect back by sealing a superb win at the start of this month.
On February 4, the audience saw him muscling his way to a classy short head distance win, beating the famous, Caras Belter.
Hence, the black dog will be full of confidence, and it is a very hard for anyone to stop him. In his previous outing, Brett Lee’s son out of Bluetoon Megan clocked the 515 metre long distance in 30.57 seconds.
Despite the fact that his running time was good enough to earn him a victory, the connections are expecting him to exhibit an even improve show this time around.
The May-08 veteran will definitely fancy his chances in the heat, but one cannot overlook, Cill Dubh Colin, who is desperate for a victory. In his last outing on Feb 4, the brindle dog finished fifth on the table.
It was certainly an embarrassing performance after his convincing 7 ¾ lengths triumph by the end of last month.
However, the Bookies are showing a lot of interest in Bit Chili’s son out of Cill Dubh Fergie, because they expect the rampant hound to bounce back. According to the betting forecast so far, the April-10 youngster is enjoying the highest odds of 5/2.
While the bookmakers are anticipating a fine show from the duo, the rest of the participants are also determined to crack a blast. Glencarn Man, who grabbed third position in his last heat, holds the ability to make a strong comeback. Therefore, the black
and white dog cannot be ignored.
After a couple of not-so-impressive performances, Crackaway Kiddo’s chances are not bright for this one. However, the black b***h can trouble the line-up in the early hours, as she had showed an early pace in her recent races.
Wineandsoda, Hondo Dingle’s son out of Riverside Polly, has also been doing a decent job for last couple of weeks. Expecting him to upset the favourites will be too much to ask; however, the hound can secure a place among the top 3.
Romeo Exile is unlikely to do anything special. The brindle dog has a habit of taking slow starts and therefore, it might be dangerous to pin up too many hopes on him.
The real contest will be between Judys Legacy, and Cill Dubh Colin. Wineandsoda can be rated as the third favourite, and anything special by the rest of the line-up will be a mega upset.
