Jules Bianchi eyes race seat in Force India in 2013 – Formula 1 news
Force India test driver, Jules Bianchi is eying a race seat in his team in 2013 after delivering an amazing performance during the first two days of the Young Driver Test held at Magny-Cours in France.
Bianchi is also participating in the World Series by Renault in which he is presently standing at third position and has been deemed as a competent contender for the title.
The Silverstone based team has promoted their third drivers, Paul di Resta and Nico Hulkenberg to the race drivers in the last couple of years. Therefore, the French driver is hopeful that he will make his way to the race seat in the coming year.
Moreover, he said that he is trying his best to perform well in the Renault World Series and the Young Driver Test so as to prove his potential as a racing driver. He also said that he deserves a race seat in Force India Team.
"I'm just trying to focus on what I'm doing this year with the World Series and the Friday mornings at Force India," said . "It's really important that I need to do well and show people that I deserve seat. I will try to have a race seat for next year and
I hope it will be with Sahara Force India of course."
Currently, there are many speculations prevailing that Lewis Hamilton of McLaren is going to move to Mercedes in the coming year as his contract will be ended at the conclusion of this season. Meanwhile, the reports are stating that Di Resta has been seen
as Hamilton’s potential replacement in the Woking based team which implies that there will be a vacancy in Force India for which Bianchi is looking for.
"I read everything and it's a bit funny because people say lots of things and you don't really know what's going on. I think there is nothing done yet and we will just have to wait and see,” he added.
Over and above, it will be interesting to see whether he will be able to secure a race seat in his current team in the next year or not.
