Jules Bianchi looking forward to participation in Formula 1 – Formula 1 news
Jules Bianchi, Ferrari’s reserve driver thinks that he is ready for Formula 1, but admits to uncertainty over 2012 prospects.
Bianchi was driving the Ferrari at the Abu Dhabi Young Driver Test and will be driving for them for another two days during the programme held at the beautiful Yas Marina circuit. Bianchi is a senior member of the Ferrari’s driver academy and is being managed
by Nicolas Todt, who also looks after Felipe Massa’s affairs.
Bianchi was mentioned by shareholder of Williams Toto Wolff as a possible driver for the next season in 2012, and Bianchi has been quick to give a response to let everyone know that he is ready to be a part of Formula 1.
Bianchi mentioned how he has liked working with the team on Tuesday after completing 85 laps driving the F150 Italia. He had a good day and set the fastest time second only to Red Bull’s RB7 driven by Jean-Eric Vergne.
Bianchi put a lot of work into working out the optimal performance from the aerodynamics of the car and also fine-tuned the car to his liking.
“Honestly, I don't know what I will be doing next year,” Bianchi said. “My aim is to get into Formula One. I feel ready and, along with Nicolas, I will do all I can to get there. Disappointed with my season?”
“A bit, because the aim was to win the GP2 title and unfortunately I ended up third. The early part was very bad, with too many mistakes, but then I redeemed myself. All the same, finishing two consecutive championships in a podium position is not that bad
is it?” he further added.
He also mentioned how he had enjoyed the day and was happy with his performance. He added that he had put a lot of effort into working out the best aerodynamics for the car which was not a very fun job relative to driving but had to be done to make sure
he had the perfect set up for the car.
Bianchi has proved to be a good driver and it would be exciting to see him finally making a shift to Formula 1.
