Juliane Schenk tames Line Kjaersfeldt in final contest of European Mixed Team Championships
Juliane Schenk, the most impressive shuttler from Germany, showed a wonderful performance in the final match and overpowered Denmark’s Line Kjaersfeldt in a convincing manner at European Mixed Team Championships 2013 on Sunday, February 17, in Russia.
The aggressive Schenk, who has been proving her worth in all major international tournaments, played tremendous badminton and easily won the Women’s Singles battler against Kjaersfeldt while taking just 29 minutes.
Germany lady was on a completely different level in the arena as she played with incredible precision and she did not face any trouble in winding up this battle in straight games with a stunning 21-9 and 21-16 score on the board.
Meanwhile, Kjaersfeldt was completely helpless against the aggression of her in-form German rival. She could not put up strong show at any stage in the contest and eventually knelt down in straight games without proving any worth in the arena.
Schenk showed a wonderful aggression on court from the starting points of first game by creating a huge pressure on her rival.
German player was quite comfortable in taking the bird early and she did not encounter any complication in placing her strokes in right areas.
It was Schenk who showed no mercy to her aggressive rival in the starting half and grabbed a tremendous lead in the game.
The confused Kjaersfeldt could not play positive game after the mid-game interval as she lost her focus in the arena.
Schenk was very calm and composed in the arena as she did not play negative badminton and wrapped up the first set with a staggering difference of 21-9.
Kjaersfeldt geared up her speed to play positive badminton in the first half of second game but she failed to create pressure on her rival.
Schenk impressed the crowd with her incredible craft that assisted her to maintain pressure on her opponent who failed to find good rhythm.
The confused Kjaersfeldt failed to put up strong show in the second game of this match as her challenger Schenk played positive badminton and secured the set with a comfortable 21-16 difference on the board.
