Julio Cesar Chavez vs Aaron Pryor?

This would have been a tremendous fight!!!!!!  Chavez had an iron chin back in the 80s and early 90s and he could bodypunch like nobody's business. On the other hand Aaron Pryor had a ferocity about him, a will that was at times, scary.  He was fast, strong, could box, speed, the whole package.  I think Chavez was one of the best fighters of all time but so was Pryor.  If I had to pick, I would put my money on Pryor to win a decision that was too close to call.

JULIO CESAR CHAVEZ,simply the best!This fella on form would have out muscled,out thought,out hustled Pryor.Pryor was quick but not in the same league as Chavez,unless his trainer mixed another bottle of water like against Arguello,Chavez would have stopped him around rnd 10.

Great question, but Chavez wouldn't have stopped to admire his work after landing a crushing right hand, Julio's bomb would have been part of a combination.  The fact that Aaron Pryor had one of the best chins in boxing would have been canceled out by the fact that Chavez was a much better body puncher than Arguello with as good a chin as Pryor.  This one would would have been a war, and Pryor would have had his work cut out for him.  This one would not be like the Arguello fights, Julio was better than Alexis.  I don't think Pryor would have KOed Julio, this one would have definitely went the distance.

Tough call, and with much controversy and argument over the call Chavez takes it by split decision.

zeno's paradox...irresistible force vs immovable object!

over the last two days, i watched pryor-arguello 1 & chavez- taylor 1, and these two warriors were great champions, and despite the bigger fights eluding aaron (arguello aside), was on the pound for pound list.

the last time i answered this i picked pryor, but it's really a pick'em...and having just watched video's of both fighters, i pick chavez this time to just eek out a decision.
