Cesar said that he was so disappointed with his mistake that he wanted to walk back to Milan. The goalkeeper made a great recovery after the howler and pulled out some stunning saves to keep the Nerazzurri in pursuit for the title. The Brazilian said that
he composed himself after the goal and was all praise for his teammates for achieving the brilliant feat.
“That error still scares me. I have never made a mistake such as this in an important clash. When I conceded, I wanted to walk back to Milan. But then I composed myself and believed we could get a positive result. I praise all my marvellous team-mates for
their hard work,” the shot stopper was quoted as saying.
Julio Cesar said that he is a very sensitive person and could not stop himself when he saw his teammate Pandev score the winning goal. He added that he was overwhelmed with the effort put in by his team and hoped that it was the last mistake he made. The
goalkeeper insisted that Inter are well capable of winning the UEFA Champions League and are ready for any team in the quarterfinal.
“Once Pandev scored, I started to cry as I am an emotional person. Making that error overwhelmed me, but it is these errors that make you grow and mature as a person. I am disappointed that it happened during such a positive moment,” concluded the Brazilian
international.
